Several areas will be monitored throughout the five year period (2009 - 2014) to determine progress and overall attainment of the objectives. These include but are not limited to Hunting and Target Shooting.

Possible new areas of evaluation for target shooting (discussion points at this time)

  • National Survey of Fishing, Hunting and Wildlife-Associated Recreation - conducted every 5 years by USFWS. A discussion to expand the current questionnaire to include target shooting participation.

  • Clay Consumption Reporting - a discussion to regenerate reports examining the rate of clay target consumption.

  • National Range Inventory - a coordinated effort to combine sources in creating a national directory of ranges.

  • Tactical Markets - coordinated efforts to quantify academies and other venues of tactical shooting sports.
